BYD Energy Storage and Corvus Energy AS have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to establish a strategic collaboration aimed at advancing next-generation battery solutions for shipping.
The MoU combines BYD Energy Storage’s scale and expertise in LFP batteries with Corvus Energy’s experience in marine ESS applications.
Together, the companies will accelerate product development, expand global reach, and deliver safe, high-efficiency energy storage solutions for the maritime sector.

Under the agreement, BYD Energy Storage and Corvus Energy will coordinate global market activities to accelerate the adoption of marine ESS and support the shipping industry’s shift toward cleaner, more sustainable operations.
Corvus Energy will act as ESS System Partner and Route-to-Market Partner, leveraging its expertise in system integration and strong customer relationships worldwide.
