CMA CGM has announced a new port call in Cork, Ireland, as part of its strategy to expand transatlantic coverage and strengthen service options for the Irish market.
This addition represents approximately 40 per cent more direct service coverage between Ireland and key North American hubs.
From 28 April 2026, Cork will be directly linked to New York and Savannah, providing importers and exporters with faster transit times, improved schedule reliability, and increased sailing frequency.
The direct connection is designed to optimise supply chain flows between Ireland and major US gateways.

The PANAMA DIRECT service, recognised for its operational consistency, will be further strengthened with the deployment of an additional vessel, supporting higher frequency and tighter schedule adherence, enabling customers to plan logistics with greater confidence.
The inaugural Cork call under the new service will be made by MV CMA CGM WHITE (voyage 0RPLUS1MA), scheduled to arrive on 28 April 2026.
CMA CGM expects that this new service will not only improve cargo flow efficiency but also support sustained growth in the Irish market within its wider transatlantic trade network.
