CMA CGM has expanded its Transatlantic Panama Direct (PAD) service with the addition of a direct call at Cork, reinforcing connectivity between Ireland, North Europe and the US East Coast.
The revised service, due to launch on 28 April 2026, will offer weekly sailings linking Cork with New York and Savannah, with transit times of around nine and 11 days respectively.
The update includes an additional vessel and adjusted scheduling to improve service reliability and consistency across the rotation.
The PAD loop continues to connect major North European ports, including Le Havre, Rotterdam, Dunkerque and Zeebrugge, while the Cork call strengthens Ireland’s position within transatlantic trade lanes.

Feeder integration via Rotterdam provides extended reach into Baltic and Scandinavian markets, supporting broader network connectivity.
On the US side, calls at CMA CGM-operated terminals at Port Liberty are expected to support faster vessel handling through priority berthing, helping mitigate congestion pressures.
The revised service is expected to support cargo flows across a range of sectors, including pharmaceuticals, agri-food and general freight, with improved transit times offering a potential alternative for time-sensitive shipments.
CMA CGM has operated in Ireland for over 20 years, with regular port calls and weekly services supporting regional trade.
