DNV has joined the Digital Container Shipping Association’s (DCSA) DCSA+ partnership programme, bringing its Veracity data platform to bear on the industry’s fragmented data challenge.
Veracity is a cloud-based platform developed by DNV that enables stakeholders across the maritime value chain to securely share and reuse verified emissions and operational data.
It connects shipowners, charterers, ports and solution providers through standardised data flows, with reach across the majority of the world fleet and more than 90 data and solutions partners globally.
The partnership addresses a persistent industry challenge: fragmented, non-standardised data that must move between multiple stakeholders and systems.
Operational data is frequently processed manually or interpreted inconsistently between parties, generating inefficiencies, delays and eroded trust.
With emissions data increasingly tied to commercial transactions and regulatory obligations, the pressure to resolve these inconsistencies is mounting.

Through DCSA+, Veracity will contribute to the development and implementation of shared industry standards designed to improve interoperability and enable more seamless data exchange.
For DNV, the move is consistent with its 2030 strategy, which combines digital capabilities with domain expertise to support customers through complex transitions.
The company also views the collaboration as laying the groundwork for future AI-enabled applications built on a trusted data infrastructure.
