Höegh Rainbow, the eighth vessel of the Aurora Class, has officially joined Höegh Autoliners’ car carrier fleet.
The vessel was named three weeks ago and completed its sea trials in record time two weeks ago. All necessary paperwork and official documentation have now been finalised.
The Aurora Class is designed for increased cargo capacity, with 9,100 CEU, reinforced decks, and larger ramps.

These ships reduce CO2 emissions by up to 58 per cent compared to standard PCTCs.
The delivery of Höegh Rainbow concludes the first phase of the Aurora Class program and begins the next phase of deliveries.
Höegh Autoliners plans to introduce dual-fuel, ammonia-powered Aurora Class vessels in 2027, which will operate with minimal carbon emissions.
