A.P. Moller-Maersk (Maersk) has announced the drop of Norfolk from its Tango service rotation and switching the Jacksonville terminal from June, in a trio of changes affecting its US East Coast and South America string.
The most significant change is the discontinuation of Norfolk from the Tango rotation. Maersk confirmed it will continue to cover the market via Cartagena, though shippers relying on a direct Norfolk call will need to factor in the adjustment.
In Jacksonville, the service will shift to Blount Island Terminal beginning with the Maersk Fortaleza voyage 622S, which carries an estimated arrival date of 2 June.

The third change affects the South American leg of the rotation.
Effective from the Monte Alegre voyage 620S, Montevideo will be called before Buenos Aires, a sequence swap Maersk says is designed to improve schedule reliability and cargo connectivity in the region.
