Marcura and CFARER have announced a strategic partnership linking e-commerce procurement with technical operations for fleets worldwide.
As part of the agreement, ShipServ becomes the recommended e-commerce platform for Ship Manager Procurement, which supports around 2,000 vessels.
The collaboration also introduces VesselMan to CFARER clients, enabling digital dry-docking, inspections, and technical project management.
While many operators already use capable purchasing software, they often face a fragmented supplier landscape.
Integrating ShipServ with Ship Manager Procurement gives technical purchasing teams direct access to over 50,000 pre-vetted suppliers within existing workflows.
Compliance checks, benchmarking, and e-invoicing run automatically, while AI-supported insights highlight suppliers based on performance history, quote quality, and delivery record.

VesselMan provides structured planning and execution for dry-dockings, inspections, and technical projects.
Aligning procurement timelines with yard schedules improves predictability and reduces administrative work.
A key advantage of the partnership is combining procurement analytics with vessel-level insights. Marcura supplies detailed procurement data, while CFARER contributes on-board context via Ship Manager Technical and Ship Manager Analyzer.
Decisions based on this combined data reflect actual vessel conditions, including maintenance status, open work orders, consumption patterns, and spare holdings, helping avoid overstocking, reduce rush orders, and source according to real operational needs.

Sharon Gill, Senior Vice President, Commercial and Partner Alliances, Marcura, said: “Procurement teams need control and timely access to the right suppliers. This partnership delivers both. A number of major shipping companies are already using ShipServ integrated with Ship Manager Procurement. We are now extending this capability to CFARER’s broader client base together.”
Stian Omli, Chief Commercial Officer, CFARER, stated: “Our customers operate across every major segment of shipping. Marcura and CFARER share a best-of-breed approach with a strong focus on practical innovation. Together we help fleets work faster and with more confidence, at sea and ashore.”
Under the agreement, both companies will coordinate onboarding for joint clients. CFARER will exclusively recommend ShipServ for Ship Manager Procurement, while VesselMan will be available to operators seeking digitised dry-docking, technical project management, and inspection workflows.
Clients gain end-to-end analytics across procurement, maintenance, and QHSE via Ship Manager Analyzer.
The partnership effectively connects the maritime marketplace with the operational reality of vessels, aligning purchasing with real-time maintenance needs and spare availability, resulting in faster sourcing, greater accountability, and more predictable project execution.
