Medov Group acquires 22 per cent stake in Riviera Marine
Medov Group has acquired a 22 per cent stake in Riviera Marine SAM, a Monaco-based independent operator in bunker trading and the global supply of marine fuels and lubricants.

The deal marks a further step in Medov Group’s growth and diversification strategy, consolidating its presence across the international maritime services supply chain.

The investment forms part of a broader push to develop new opportunities in the energy and shipping sectors through long-term industrial partnerships with established operators.

The stake follows Medov Group’s recent integration of The Bunker Firm Group, an operation that created an international platform with offices in Monte Carlo, Copenhagen, Fredericia, Athens and Dubai, strengthening the company’s operational and financial capacity.

Giulio Schenone, President of Medov Group, said: “The stake in Riviera Marine represents a strategic investment fully in line with our Group’s development path. Riviera Marine has established itself internationally thanks to its professionalism, reliability and capacity for innovation. The integration of The Bunker Firm Group further strengthens its positioning.

“We are pleased to stand alongside Mario Pellegrini, Marco Carbone and the entire management team in this new phase of growth, confident that collaboration between our organisations will generate new opportunities and value for all stakeholders.”

Mario Pellegrini, President of Riviera Marine SAM, welcomed the investment: “We are very pleased to welcome Medov Group into the company’s capital. Medov is a respected partner in the international maritime landscape and shares our entrepreneurial vision, based on expertise, reliability and long-term development. Following the integration of The Bunker Firm Group, this agreement further strengthens our investment capacity and will support the company’s international growth path, benefiting customers and partners alike.”

Both companies said the deal reflected a shared ambition to build an increasingly solid and competitive international platform, positioned to respond to market developments and generate sustainable long-term value.
