MISC Group has named two new LNG carriers, Seri Dian and Seri Dayang, as the company expands its long-standing partnership with SeaRiver Maritime LLC (SRM), a wholly owned subsidiary of ExxonMobil.
The naming ceremony took place on 7 May 2026 and marks the addition of two 174,000 cubic metre LNG carriers built by Hanwha Ocean Co., Ltd.
The vessels are equipped with a range of energy-efficiency and operational technologies, including the Intelligent Control by Exhaust Recycling (ICER) system and an enhanced cargo containment system designed to reduce boil-off rates and improve operational safety.
The names continue MISC’s longstanding “Seri” naming tradition. According to the company, “Dian” symbolises radiant brilliance, while “Dayang” represents elegance and grace.
