ONE updates UK–Ireland service link
Ocean Network Express (ONE) has revised its Irish Sea Express (IRX) service rotation in a move aimed at improving network efficiency and strengthening schedule reliability across its European short-sea offering.

The update introduces enhanced connectivity between the UK and Ireland, including a new direct link between Southampton and Irish ports.

Under the revised structure, Southampton will replace Rotterdam on the Dublin and Cork loop, reshaping the service’s call pattern to better align capacity with demand flows in the Irish Sea market.

The updated IRX rotation will operate as Southampton – Dublin – Cork – Southampton, alongside a separate Rotterdam – Belfast – Rotterdam loop.

The revised configuration is designed to streamline port coverage while maintaining consistent service frequency across key North European gateways.

The change will take effect from late May 2026, with ONE stating the adjustment supports broader efforts to optimise its intra-European network and improve operational reliability across regional services.
