OOCL said the service will provide weekly sailings, with the network designed to offer additional connections between Canada and Mediterranean markets.
The GEX3 launch comes as carriers continue to adjust service networks and direct connections to meet changing trade flows between North America and Europe.
The new route will provide shippers with a direct maritime connection between Montreal and key ports in the West Mediterranean, alongside onward connections through the feeder network.
