Oil company PRIO has entered into an agreement with Shape Digital to deploy Shape Lighthouse, an AI-driven Intelligent Asset Management platform.
The platform’s aim is to improve operational reliability, reducing maintenance costs, and optimising production across its offshore assets.
The technology will be rolled out across PRIO’s three Floating Production Storage and Offloading (FPSO) units—Forte, Frade, and Bravo — located in the Albacora Leste, Frade, and Tubarão Martelo fields, as well as the Wellhead Polvo A platform.
Together, these facilities can process up to 380,000 barrels of oil per day and store over 1 million barrels.
The deployment follows a successful pilot on FPSO Valente in the Frade field. The platform will now support predictive maintenance and risk management by enabling early detection of equipment anomalies and data-driven decision-making.

Monitoring will be powered by Shape’s offshore failure-prediction algorithm library — one of the largest in the sector — with over 200 AI and engineering-based models derived from monitoring around 30 per cent of Brazil’s oil and gas production.
According to Shape, the system can anticipate and mitigate failures before they become critical, cutting downtime by up to 15 per cent and reducing operational costs.
In addition to Shape Lighthouse, the company also offers Shape Aura and Shape Reef, data-driven solutions focused on energy efficiency and industrial safety.
Shape Aura optimises energy use to reduce emissions without additional capital investment, while Shape Reef provides real-time monitoring of safety-critical elements, helping prevent unplanned shutdowns and accidents.
