Seaward launches unified vessel control with autonomy
Seaward Automation, with Robosys, has unveiled Command™ upgrades at the Palm Beach Boat Show, adding Remote Command and Autonomous Navigation via VOYAGER AI.

Command™ provides a single, intuitive interface for managing all critical onboard systems in real time. The latest release adds intelligent navigation and remote operational capabilities, moving the platform closer to fully connected, autonomous vessel control.

Designed for both OEM integration and retrofits, Command™ can be deployed across recreational craft, sports fishing vessels, and other small- to medium-sized boats.

With VOYAGER AI embedded, the system now offers real-time monitoring, centralised command and control, intelligent navigation guidance, and remote operation, all from a single unified interface.

The platform supports onboard and remote command, alongside autonomous track and route-follow functionality, enabling vessels to execute pre-planned routes with precision.

VOYAGER AI provides advanced autonomy and remote decision-making without complicating the user interface.

This release is the first stage in Seaward’s broader autonomy roadmap. Future developments are expected to include autonomous collision and obstacle avoidance, anti-grounding protection, enhanced remote helm control, and dynamic positioning and station-keeping functionality.

Together, these upgrades position Command™ as a future-ready platform evolving toward fully autonomous operation while retaining intuitive human oversight.

John Digertt, CEO of Seaward Automation, said: “Robosys’ VOYAGER AI software is a highly beneficial addition to Seaward’s software stack. Our Command™ product line is focused on complete vessel control, and by adding autonomous guidance and navigation alongside remote operational capability, we can offer a truly comprehensive vessel operation platform.”

Aditya Nawab, CEO of Robosys Automation, added: “By integrating VOYAGER AI within Command™, we are enabling intelligent navigation and remote vessel operation through a seamless, unified interface, bringing advanced autonomy into practical, real-world use.”

The enhanced Command™ platform is currently being demonstrated at the Palm Beach International Boat Show, where attendees can experience how unified vessel control, autonomous navigation, and remote operations are transforming marine operations.

Recently, BMT launched ROC-Sim, a high-fidelity virtual test and training environment for uncrewed and autonomous maritime systems.
