Floatel Endurance is scheduled to sail to Hanøytangen in Q1 2026 for a comprehensive yard stay and energy optimisation programme at Semco Maritime’s facility.
Hanøytangen, a key hub for offshore vessel repair, modification, and conversion, features a 125 × 130 metres (m) dry dock with 16.5 m water depth, deepwater quays up to 90 m, and modern infrastructure supported by heavy-lift cranes.
Fully integrated with Semco Maritime’s engineering, project support, and yard services, the facility can manage end-to-end offshore projects, from complex upgrades to regulatory compliance work.

Semco Maritime was tasked with drydocking and energy optimisation, including thruster removal and overhaul, hull treatment and painting, galley and accommodation upgrades, and turnkey delivery of a Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) system with Diesel Oxidation Catalyst (DOC) technology.
The SCR and DOC systems form part of Norway’s goal to cut offshore rig emissions by 50 per cent by 2030.
Simon Wall of Semco Maritime said: “We are very pleased that Floatel International has chosen Semco Maritime Hanøytangen for this important project. By combining our in-house engineering capabilities with a robust execution plan, we are well-positioned to deliver on schedule and help Floatel prepare for the future.”
