WaveBL and TradeWaltz have signed an integration agreement enabling digital trade document exchange between their platforms.
The deal opens a direct connection between WaveBL’s global shipping network and Japan’s financial infrastructure.
The deal gives TradeWaltz users, including Japan’s three megabanks and major corporates, access to WaveBL’s network of carriers, banks, and corporates.
Through the integration, participants can consume electronic structured bank presentations and electronic Bills of Lading (eBLs) issued on the WaveBL platform, enabling fully digital presentation of trade finance documents for Letters of Credit and Collection transactions.
TradeWaltz is backed by a consortium of leading Japanese stakeholders, and its megabank membership makes it one of the most strategically significant trade finance platforms in the world. For WaveBL, the agreement extends its reach into a banking ecosystem that plays a central role in global trade finance flows.
In the other direction, TradeWaltz participants gain access to the broader network of carriers, forwarders, and customers already operating on WaveBL, widening their digital trade connectivity beyond Japan’s domestic ecosystem.
